$100 first swimmer /$90 second swimmer/$80 third swimmer LEGACY PARK RESIDENT

$120 first swimmer/$110 second swimmer/$100 third swimmer NON LEGACY PARK RESIDENT.

There is a $20 concession fee per family again this year and a $100 refundable volunteer deposit(if you fulfill your commitments it will be shredded) please write separate check.

Legacy Park Residents must be current with their HOA dues for 2012. Space limited for non-residents .

Swim Suit Fittings for new team suit will be available at registration only. Kastaways is our swimsuit provider again this year and suits can be ordered anytime after fitting if your swimmer is not available on team fitting day. ( Allow 4 wks. for ordering to make sure the suit arrives in time.)

 We thank you in advance it takes a lot of people to run a swim meet for our children.

Our registration date for 2012 is March 17th from 9 am to noon at the clubhouse.  We will be ordering our Swimsuits this year through a local vendor Kastaways Swimwear, swim suit fittings will be on March 17th.  Our suit is solid black speedo with green trim with a legacy Park logo embroidered on. The boys suit is solid black.

Many of you have asked about the $100 work deposit.  For clarification, let us just say that most of our swim team family is a very involved group of parents.  You work at meets, fulfill your fundraising efforts and we are grateful for all your hard work.  There are a handful of parents who do not fulfil their obligations and we want to ensure they do.  It is simply not fair to those who volunteer to have to do more than their share.

This year we decided to charge a concession fee again.  This fee is $20.00 per family.  Most swim programs require their parents to bring concession items to each meet.  While we do some funds available in our budget for initial concession purchases, it costs us quite a bit to stock the concession stand for our intial opening and meets.  This money is usually made up at the meets, but in a year where we have  fewer meets, this cuts into our budget.  We simply thought that $20.00 would be easier than bringing cases of cokes, candybars, etc., to each meet for your families.

Our coach will be conducting Stroke Clinics on Saturday mornings as soon as the pools open.  We will forward e-mails to you informing you of the details.  All you have to do is e-mail us to let us know you are coming and bring your check on the day of the clinic.  The cost will be $12.00 per child, per clinic.  After we look at the calendar we may be able to offer a package deal as well for multiple clinics.  These clinics are optional, focus on one or two particular strokes and provide children with intensive stroke instruction in one area.  If you did not attend last year, speak with some of our returning parents.

We will be attending the Cobb County Coordinators Meeting in March.  We will learn the dates of our home meets at this time.  In May we will work out a sign up schedule for Meet Jobs and Concession Stand Weekend Shifts.  We will be posting the meet jobs on the website and you may e-mail us at anytime with changes.  Remember it is your responsibility to find a replacement if you cannot fulfill your duties.  We certainly do not have a problem with family members (16 and over please) fulfilling your responsibilities (we call those “service opportunities” in my family).

 In the last 10 years there has been only one meet we have rescheduled and only one meet we have called after the 46 event due to weather.  Several years ago, we had a meet which had some really hard rain and thunder (for 15 minutes).  Many of the parents got in their cars and left.  After 30 minutes the meet was resumed and we went on without the 20+ swimmers who left with their parents.

 We know there are thunderstorms in the forecast, but check with a member of the committee if you have any question before leaving due to weather on Thursday.
